I haven't had a chance to work on pictures. But here are a chain of combinations that I think will get a lot of points for us, as they use letters that might give us more points.
BOA – BOAT – GOAT – GOAL – GORE – SORE – MORE – LORE – LONE – TONE – ZONE – From the O: OAR – OAT – OATH - OVER – OVEN – OMEN – OMIT – ONIX - OTTER -
You guys can include them in something, or I can try to make a combination thing later. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm up to 10 layers, but at some point, we're going to have to decide whether to continue working on our own or contributing to a group one. Maybe we could split into teams and work on one or two?

I find this challenge to be tough to do as team because we all have different thoughts and plans.
At same time if we keep doing individual just waste of time. I am at 10 layers as well.

I'm unfortunately totally sucking at this, so my contribution won't be massive this challenge or anything, but I TOOOOTALLY think that if we work on it as a group, it's going to help us so much more. There's only so much that 5 people having 10 layers can do. If we were all werkin' and twerkin' together, we'd have 50!

I am at 13 right now. I plan on working on this for about another hour (until 10 or so) then I will post them all and take a break. Maybe someone could pick up where I left off and continue from there. Then when they are done someone pick up. It is not too crucial to watch letters as we have quite a few.

I think we need to consolidate. We should probably go with whoever has the most, create an official thread and start going with it. It might be best for us to have this and just work off each other. We all can create a layer here and there as long as we coordinate with those that are on and actively posting. Is everyone cool with this?
I agree with the rest that those of us how have 10-12 layers are just wasting time if we are not all together.

I agree we should just have a thread where we all post and do everything together, it would be much easier and it wastes a lot of creative juices if everyone is up to ten layers. I think we should have everyone who is over ten layers to post an image of their last layer, the letter count and the points they have so far. See if it sparks ideas for everyone else and see which one we can make bigger as a group.

I've been personally trying to extent Julian's since it is the longest so far but I've been having trouble and been short on time with homework. I will try to work on this more tomorrow before my classes because I will be in class from 1:15pm EST to after the challenge deadline.

Hey everyone --
I'm not really available at all today either.
I wanted to suggest that we all should post only in Julian's thread. I'm not sure if it's my fault or not for suggesting that we, at first, start our own threads to get the hang of it. I was a little surprised that so late into the day yesterday we still had people starting their own threads! We all really need to be working on one thread at this point, and Julian's is clearly the winner.
I think that the other tribe is likely ahead of us substantially. We really need to think less about saving letters at this point as I think this challenge is going to come down to speed and endurance. I think that after every post everyone needs to subtract the letters that they used so that we don't waste our time if we've used up all of a certain consonant. I can't see us using up all the vowels by 5 PM today so I really think we need to go all out.
That's just my opinion, but to anyone looking for direction, please start posting in Julian's thread! Worry less about saving letters/making high point words and just produce layers. That's what it's going to come down to at this point.
Also, I know that a part of the stress is whether a word has been made already or not. Simply control-F ("Find") the thread page (or pages once we hit page 2, 3, etc) and enter each new word before submitting to see if any of the previous submissions already used your word. The minute we reuse a word is the minute our layers stop and all posts after that are a waste of time.
Julian, if you could edit your thread title to "Official Reliquum Submission Challenge 02" or something to that effect, that would be great.
Go Reliquum!!!

Thiago, I asked God if we can repeat words and he said yes. I'll double check on that.
I did double check, and he said yes, we can repeat words, which we'll probably have to end up doing when we get stuck in places. We can even use repeat layers as long as they have different image tags.

Wow, in that case why don't we just alternate two layers over and over until we are out of those letters and then change it to a new set of images and keep alternating those?? This is simply be a speed posting challenge! Loophole?

I think mark is taking care of it now with the new strategy/loophole revelation. I think until Mark says he's finished nobody else should post. Maybe once mark is finished he can post in here what he's doing/tricks to make it faster and the next person can go for it. I think this is a one person at a time job now that we've figured out how to do this quickly.
