It's way past due for me to get this confessional up and running with the goods. Let's start by saying, my forte is not to scramble right out the gate. In the words of mi amigo Julian....ay de mi!
So the first round...in a nutshell...was weird. Suspicious. To be honest, I didn't really do *that* much scrambling. I turned to the only person available yesterday morning...Dion...and pretty much grabbed on to her leg and went...."waaaaaaahhhhh!" And suddenly she was working for my benefit. Thanks! But...huh?
Dion: Your name is the only name that has come up, but if you have something different, I’d be willing if the numbers were there.
Mark: Well, having only met about 5 people so far, I’d just be throwing out a name.
Dion: You would probably do well to focus on one of the ones that wasn’t at the challenge. Bree, Julian, Knox, Zac…
Mark: Have you met any of them? Any of them strike you as someone to vote for?
Dion: Well, Knox was hard to talk to. One of those slow-replies, single answers. He was pretty much like that for everyone.
*Come to think of it, he was hard to carry on a conversation with. Knox it is!*
So I turn to Zac, who is in much the same position as I am, and he’s like….but I’m friends with Knox! Can’t we find someone else? I mention Bree…and Starr’s all…but she’s so sweet! All the while, I feel like Dion is goading me to mention names. Which I’m fine with. Ain’t skeered. Anyways, I said all that to say somehow Starr and Dion came up with Naomi, and I said, ger ‘er done. And they got ‘er done. Interesting. Interesting indeed. While I appreciate that I’m still in the game, I don’t necessarily think it was for my benefit, and Starr and Dion are more in the know than they really should be.
Suffice it to say, I owe nobody…anything.
Through all this, I bonded with Zac and Knox. Could possibly be a team there. Then I bonded more with Thiago, who I actually like most of all so far. Now it’s time for me to fade back into the shadows and sniff out the inner workings of this mess. I mean…now that I’m a cool cal, as Gabriel says, I should be fairly ingratiated for a bit.
Survivor, it’s been too long, my friend.
