I think we should all go to this website: www.jigsawplanet.com/And practice our asses off! Try and see what time you tend to get when competing in puzzles with 40-60 pieces and use that to guesstimate what bets you are able to do and which bets will be impossible for you to meet. Getting familiar with the puzzles will be a huge advantage.

My fastest time with puzzles between 40-48 pieces was 4 minutes 50 seconds, and my longest was 7 minutes, just so some of you have an idea. If betting gets BELOW 4 minutes, or even 4 minutes and 30 seconds, I would definitely challenge them. They only get one attempt at the puzzle, so if they screw up they will lose.

I agree! Practice, for the rotation part of it alone! I couldn't figure out how to turn the pieces lol
But I tried one puzzle and finished it in 4:30, but I knew the picture, so that definitely helped. I think getting one shot at this makes it much easier to screw it up.

A huge hint is to look at the picture BEFORE starting, if you can. It really helps.
On pieces around 48 pieces I'm getting 6-7 minutes, so I would be careful about betting below 5 minutes. You will have to be perfect to get below 5 minutes I think.

Don't forget to click the little ghost in the bottom left hand corner! It gives a copy of the picture to use with the puzzle.

I'm thinking since there's going to be a different puzzle for each pair, we may want to try our avatars paired up with whoever we're up against as the puzzle?

Hey everyone, I just did the puzzle and lost.
It was very difficult. It was a picture of just the galaxy, I think it was a photo from google. With the rotation and very subtle images (mainly just colours), it's really tough.
I would suggest calling everyone's bet under 6 minutes. I think especially under pressure it will be too difficult to manage. You only get one shot.
I think the more bets we call, the more wins we will get.

If one of us goes in and we find that it our avatars we can adjust bets accordingly.

I really think the best stategy right now is to get the betting down between 6 minutes and 6 minutes 30 sections, and call their bet somewhere in there.

I'm suddenly feeling very afraid lol It was ridiculously difficult, mainly because of the rotating pieces. It took me 7 minutes 30 seconds to complete, and the bet Tina called me on was 5 minutes 50 seconds. I'm really urging people to try and get the favorites to compete.
