7. DominicSeason: The PlaguesPlacement: 6thEdgic: OTTCPNDominic is hands down the biggest villain of the first three seasons. His delusion and lack of self-awareness combined with his keen intellect and ruthlessness really make him a great full-circle character in the Good & Evil canon. He's the kind of player who counts down the seconds until he can blindside someone again. He likes to win challenges, find idols, and make eliminations all with an iron fist. It's very compelling to watch, and he's got a great wit about him that makes him hilarious. More positively, Dominic was the tribe and alliance leader of the Ellis group, and he often was proud to take bullets for his team and his alliance. He was all about Ellis domination, which unfortunately became his downfall later. He started out on the Ellis tribe, and didn't really have to make much of a move (outside of outcasting Yuri). When the swap came, he pulled in the trust of Jonah and Chase- and mercilessly took out Jonah (with help from Ellen). He also helped orchestrate the elimination of Tina's idol, and he found it when it was rehidden. On the swap again, he was a focus of attention with the whole Ben/Liam debacle. He was pretty instrumental in targetting Liam, but it was at this time when he strategy began to crack. Colleen and Ben were both seriously considering defecting to target Dominic, and it was a pretty good sign of where Dominic really stood. After Dominic went after Chase pretty vehemently in the first merge challenge, he kind of solidified his status as a glorified villain. He was pretty cunning and reckless with it, as well as when he cut Kendell at the final 7. Kendell leaving was the final nail in his coffin- and Ellen cut his throat at the Final 6. Definitely a great story arc. I've written individually about my fellow GVSE3 finalists Colleen and Ryan, but I also wanted to take the time to say something about Dominic, whose impact on The Plagues (and not to mention on me) is impossible to overlook. Like me, Dominic is someone else who put his entire mind, heart and soul into our season. That's just who Dominic is. He is one of the most hardworking and driven people I've ever met and he never gives anything that he does less than 110%. Out of everyone in our cast, I can confidently say that Dom and I probably spent the most one-on-one time together out of any two people. For the course of most of the game we were texting, Skyping and AOL IMing on top of all the standard and obligatory communication that took place via the board and in the board chat room (DISCLAIMER: I do feel the need to mention that although I've known Dominic for years, it wasn't until shortly after the game began that I actually found that out; we were friendly acquaintances when the game began but we did not sign up together.) I think more than anything, what drew us together was our mutual desire to play the game; the two of us lived and breathed Good and Evil and amidst all the strategizing that took place between us, we got to be really close friends. Because I got to know him so well, I do feel that classifying him as a full-fledged villain is a little bit off the mark. Dominic is the kind of person who bleeds for the people he cares about. As Ryan (the contestant) would say, "he bled Ellis." There were instances where he came across as cocky and obnoxious, but he was not a monster. In fact, deep down (and he'll probably kill me for saying this,) he's a big softie. He really is a wonderful human being. For all of the bad blood that went down between the two of us, he never once made personal in the game, what was honestly for all intents and purposes, quite personal to him. He was devastated and angry (rightfully so) when he learned that he was going home, but he was mature enough to fight back by playing the game rather than by making personal attacks against me. That's a testament to his nature and one of the reasons that I absolutely love him. Backstabbing Dominic was not something that I long premeditated to do. In fact, the decision came to me only one round prior to his actual demise. Dominic is the kind of player whose determination and obvious zest for gamesmanship tend to make him a target. He's a threat, he knows he's a threat, and he owns it. As a result Dominic was being targeted by many of the other players in the game (Ellisians included) long before the Final Six. The fact that Ellis made it to the Final Six in tact, regardless of how tight we all were, is nothing short of a miracle. Voting out Dominic was hands down the hardest vote I cast, not only in The Plagues, but in a game ever. The last thing that I wanted to do was hurt any of the friends I made in our season, but ultimately what it kept coming back to, for me, was that I felt I had to consider the situation for what it was: a game; a game with one winner. I do believe that Dominic would have won GVSE3 had he not been eliminated when he did. He was so visibly dominant that anyone would have been hard pressed to convince a jury to vote for them over him. It doesn't make the fact that I voted him out sit any better with me though and to this day I feel awful for hurting him, because I know it's something he almost positively never would have considered doing to me. Dominic, naturally, took his elimination really hard. He was devastated and saw the writing on the wall long before the votes were read. If the game had been about who was the most "deserving" he would have been a finalist, guaranteed... unfortunately that was not the mentality that Ryan (once again, the contestant) or I had going into the endgame. I spent so much time throwing myself into GvsE that I think I lost it a little by the time everything was said and done. A lot of people can vouch that we were all mentally exhausted from the toll that the season took on us. It was exhilarating but it was also ugly. Things got very personal and Dominic was probably the biggest victim of that. Although I get credit for pretty much shaping the course of our game, Dominic is someone else who was absolutely instrumental in engineering so much of what occurred out there. I hope he knows how much we all truly appreciate his contribution, as a player in this series and as our friend. Thanks Dominic!

67. KarlaSeason: ResurrectionPlacement: 18thEdgic: UTRThere's not much to say about Karla outside of the first two rounds of the 4-5 she was in the game, because she went inactive. Apparently she had no idea she had gone inactive and just "forgot" to sign in for two days (which I consider inactive really), but alas it's why she's last in this ranking. I have no tolerance for her kind. But in her first two rounds she was great and probably one of the most present people on the Cascade tribe. She got herself into a majority alliance when the Brains vs. Brawns groups started forming after the failure of a first challenge. She was the one who led everyone who wasn't there or screwed up the first challenge to align to avoid being picked off and to this day I find that to be incredibly interesting. I think when she lost her side ally Misty is when she started losing interest. So much wasted potential .

64. MistySeason: ResurrectionPlacement: 17thEdgic: MORThere's actually not much to say about Misty. She didn't play bad at all in her 2 rounds in the actual game, but mostly got the shaft due to a power shift by Stephenie and Perry. She was a really fun and great force while she was at Purgatory, and won a couple of duels. Unfortunately she didn't last very long .

56. RosemarySeason: ResurrectionPlacement: 19thEdgic: MORNRosemary is a very interesting early boot in the Good & Evil canon, and that is mostly because of the tribe she was on. Napa was the most dysfunctional tribe we've ever had and it was like that Day 1. Rosemary tagged onto Dallas and put herself in Dallas' "group of girls" so-to-speak with Hannah, Dallas, Tess, and herself. Dallas went around making deals and got the first boot (Tess was able to jump ship already)- leaving Rosemary and Hannah on the obvious outs. Rosemary then attempted to kick it into high gear and get herself to stay- and actually got Tess and Beau on board to keep her and eliminate Gloria (who had risen to power during the Dallas boot). However, the cards weren't there for her as she got the boot anyways. That second round she really was great in her confessionals and brought a lot of great zingers that were fun to read. Then she went to purgatory and just didn't do the challenge which was weird but oh well. That's Rosemary for you.

51. WyattSeason: ResurrectionPlacement: 7thEdgic: UTRWyatt gets a very bad rep in this series, as most of the season his strategy consisted of doing what Tess told him to do. I think the chat component of the game really got to him and he was never really able to to do well and be proactive, but he always seemed to have moments where he really knew what was going on. He knew that people saw him as a coattail rider and he knew exactly what moves to make were smart for Tess. I think that Tess wouldn't have been as successful if it wasn't for Wyatt. Coming off the Rosemary write-up, Wyatt is also the one who refused to flip on Gloria, Quincy, and Luca at the second Napa vote because he thought it was ridiculous to flip so much. Maybe he if had had more of a vocal role the season would've been a lot more cut-and-dry...so I'm glad he stayed UTR.

49. NickSeason: ResurrectionPlacement: 15thEdgic: MORI will start out Nick's write-up by saying that I think if he were in any other season he would have a great probability of winning. But this was Season 4, where up=down and allies=enemies. Nick was the conscious of the Napa tribe and was always directly in the middle, which I think is a great position to be in. He was loyal, really focused on winning challenges, and a very all-around nice guy. I still don't really know why Hannah saw it imperative to take him out, but I don't think he ever did anything wrong gameplay wise except not be more proactive.

in my defense I was still just royally pissed at my entire tribe, and saw any opportunity to take one of them out as a golden opportunity. But obviously it was a mistake, because I saw (too late) that I made the wrong choice by taking Nick out and it bit me. 12 Place WOOHOO!

47. DallasSeason: ResurrectionPlacement: 20thEdgic: CPNDallas is probably the most glorious and entertaining early boot in the history of this series. While that might sound like a great reputation to have, when you look at what she did to deserve those descriptions, you'll probably feel a little bit sorry for her. In the first round of the game, Dallas created an inner-circle of 4 girls: Herself, Hannah, Rosemary, and Tess. She then used different groups of those girls to make side alliances with just about every single person on her tribe except for Wyatt- who she deemed would be the first boot. She even got her tribe to send her to Death Valley round 1, where she happened upon a Hidden Immunity Idol. Things seemed great for Dallas, and honestly at this point, how could she be the first boot from Napa? Other people spoke to each other. Something Dallas forgot to take into account. While she was praising herself on how great she was playing, everyone else was having conversations and began to put pieces together- and that's when a counter group formed led by Gloria, Quincy, and Luca. Tess jumped ship and created another 3way with Beau and Wyatt, and from that point Dallas was fucked. The second immunity challenge turned out to be a popularity contest, where Dallas placed second-to-last of 10 people. For some reason, that barely struck her as being odd considering she was on "top" of the tribe. She decided not to play her idol at Judgement and decided she would keep it when she "won Purgatory and came back". She got voted out, and didn't even compete at the Purgatory challenge- I guess out of shame.

46. AdamSeason: ResurrectionPlacement: 16thEdgic: CPPIt's pretty irrational for me to rank Adam this high, as he was the first boot of the entire game. However, if you read his confessional while he was in Purgatory, in which he won like 4 Duels, you'll find how hilarious and rootable he was. I think everyone wanted him to come back at the Final 12 (albiet undeservingly) and kick ass- but alas some real life stuff came up and he wasn't able to. He'll probably rank lower when I update Season 5 (Gabriel <3).

Love the write-ups! Dallas is seriously so epic.
Oh and unpopular opinion alert: Wyatt is actually very underrated. Despite his very UTR gameplay, he was always aware of what was happening and played a crucial role in the eliminations of Rosemary, Stephenie, and in my elimination.

Love this! Three things: This was all Hannah tbh. Her effort in the challenge combined with her little lie about Wyatt having Gloria on top of his booting list did the job for me. Where's Dallas goodbye speech haha. I think it was one of the moments that portrays the crazy relationship between players in the game and well for me it was one of the most entertaining moments. Oh and Quincy I don't feel like 'missing the voting deadline' (wrt the Steph-vote) is a positive crucial role although I see where you're coming from
